Summary:
Melanie Stryder refuses to fade away. Earth has been invaded by a species that takes over the minds of human hosts while leaving their bodies intact, and most of humanity has succumbed.

Melanie fills Wanderer's thoughts with visions of the man Melanie loves - Jared, a human who still lives in hiding. Unable to separate herself from her body's desires, Wanderer yearns for a man she's never met. As outside forces make Wanderer and Melanie unwilling allies, they set off to search for the man they both love.

ReplyDeleteI agree ... although I'm surprised the movie's coming out so soon when the book hasn't received very much publicity. I guess the movie people think that because Twilight did so well, there's no need to see how well The Host will do before turning it into a movie.
DeleteI bought it when it first came out and I thought it was a good book. I'm interested to see how the movie will be.
ReplyDeleteI thought The Host had even more potential when I read it. It started off a bit slow but a few chapter in and I couldn't put it down.
